article 125 paragraph 1 of the bavarian constitution: “healthy children are the most precious asset of a people.”
article 141 paragraph 1 sentence 3 of the bavarian constitution: "it is... one of the primary tasks of the state, municipalities and corporations under public law to protect soil, water and air as natural resources for life... and to ensure that energy is used as economically as possible."
we also demand:
end to a life-threatening energy policy, stop the use of nuclear energy!
this is the only humane response to the chernobyl disaster because it is the only way to be sure that further disasters can be prevented. a “meltdown” is also possible with us.
the expert dispute about the degree of (un)safety of our nuclear power plants is therefore irrelevant. after numerous near-catastrophes, chernobyl has made a contaminated environment an oppressive reality.
there should be no so-called residual risk. it can come true any day and destroy our livelihoods, those of our children and future generations.
this is not responsible. nobody gives us the right to control life in the world - even if only within the framework of a "residual risk".
let's set an example! even if nuclear power plants continue to exist in other countries, every nuclear power plant that is decommissioned or not built reduces the shared risk for all of us.
